Job Description:
BURRELL TOWNSHIP SEWER AUTHORTY is seeking a full-time Administrative Assistant to join our team.
This is a supportive administrative and clerical position.
This position is responsible for assisting the Office Manager in tasks included but not limited to:
maintenance of Authority records, conducting Authority business in a timely manner, ensuring problems of and questions of customers are attended too or brought to the Board of Directors.
This position is predominately Accounts Receivable with backing up the Office Manager on Accounts Payable and Payroll functions as needed.
Job Requirements:
Knowledge of office methods and procedures.
Skill in use of computers, email, and standard office equipment.
Ability to learn Authority specific software.
Ability to perform necessary mathematical and accounting computations as required to assist in maintaining accurate fiscal records.
Ability to learn and apply a variety of laws, regulations, requirements, and procedures applicable to Authority functions.
Ability to work effectively with Board Members, Co-workers, Business Associates, and other Government Officials, and customers.
Must have the ability to organize, plan and execute projects to meet goals.
Must be able to work in a team environment and communicate effectively in both written and oral manners Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Google Suite (Gmail, Drive, Docs).
Exceptional organizational skills Municipal Authority experience preferred but not required.
Job
Responsibilities:
Respond to incoming calls, inquiries, and/or complaints.
Assist customers by informing them of Authority Rules & Regulations, explaining procedures and either resolving problems or referring them to the responsible official.
Greet visitors, accept payments, and issue receipts.
Type correspondence, reports, memos, and other documents as assigned.
Assist in the preparation of the agendas for monthly board meetings.
Attend regular and special meetings of the board when necessary and also keep a record of proceedings and ensure that minutes are recorded for each meeting.
Assist in proper record keeping and maintenance files in a manner that permits ready access.
Provide required notices for all board actions, regulations, and keep a copy of all official decisions of the board.
Assist in maintaining and updating the Authority website.
Office cleaning on a daily and/or weekly basis.
Other duties as required by the Office Manager, General Manager, or Board Chairperson.
Preference will be given to Candidates with the following:
Local government Experience and/or Associates Degree or Higher and/or Business or Office Administration experience of 5

The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
