General
Responsibilities:
Assist in the coordination of day-to-day activities within the Parks & Recreation department.
Provide support to staff as it relates to borough operations and recreation programs.
Provide customer service to internal and external customers.
Maintain schedules, coordinate meetings and other administrative support tasks.
Assist in writing and administration of grants.
Assist with payroll and preparation of monthly reports.
Assist with preparing facility for events, meetings, etc.
Qualifications:
Preferred five years of experience working as an administrative assistant.
Possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong organizational skills, and knowledge of current computer applications (Word, Excel, etc.
) and social media platforms.
Must live within 15 air miles of the Borough of Blairsville Must be able to pass appropriate background checks for working with minors PSP Background Check, Act 153 Must possess a valid driver's license.
Physical demands vary from sedentary to active and will require individuals to push, pull, and lift.
Be able to stand and walk for extended periods of time when preparing for events Job Type:
